Rund 10km von der Studenten- und Radmetropole Aachen entfernt, liegt das beschauliche Stolberg. Wir öffnen die Tür an der Wilhelm-Pitz-Str. 11-13 – und somit zur nächsten Folge der STAHLWILLE Tool Experts. Wir sind zu Gast bei Radsport Ganser.

Inmitten von unzähligen Rädern, Reifen, Lampen, Schutzblechen und Bekleidungsprodukten werden wir von Markus Ganser, Inhaber und Gründer des über 25-jährigen Unternehmens begrüßt. Das der Radsport seine Passion ist, spürt man schon nach den ersten Minuten.

„Radfahren ist ja nicht nur Treten, sondern auch Liebe zur Technik, Liebe zum Detail.“ Und so wundert es kaum, dass Markus Ganser 2001 mit „Athleticum“ ein Profi-Radsportteam gründete. Von 2002 bis einschließlich 2005 wurde das Team als Team ComNet-Senges in ganz Deutschland, aber auch international bekannt. In dieser Zeit konnten die von Radsport Ganser betreuten Fahrer (Management und Mechaniker) viele Titel und Siege sammeln. So wurden vom Bezirksmeistertitel über die NRW Meisterschaft und einen Deutschen Meistertitel sogar 5 WM Goldmedaillen und 2 Olympiasiege gefeiert. Im Jahr 2006 wurde das Team in regiostrom-Senges umbenannt. Es folgte eine wahnsinnig erfolgreiche Strassen-Saison, die das Team bis Ende August laut Weltrangliste als drittstärkste deutsche Profimannschaft hinter Gerolsteiner und T-Mobile sah.

Aber zurück ins Ladenlokal bzw. direkt in die Werkstatt. Dort schrauben, optimieren, erneuern vier Monteure mit der Erfahrung aus dem Profi-Radsport an über 25 Fahrrädern pro Tag – und das mit STAHLWILLE Werkzeug. Amidst countless wheels, tyres, lamps, mudguards and items of clothing, we are welcomed by Markus Ganser, owner and founder of the 25-year-old company. Right from the start, we feel that cycling in all its forms is his passion.

"Cycling isn't just about pushing pedals, it's also about a love of technology, a love of detail." So it is hardly surprising that Markus Ganser founded a professional cycling team called "Athleticum" in 2001. From 2002 until 2005, the team became known as Team ComNet-Senges all over Germany, but also internationally. During this time the riders, management and mechanics managed by Ganser collected numerous titles and victories. In addition to district championship titles, the team was able to celebrate an NRW championship, a German championship title and even five world championship gold medals and two Olympic victories. In 2006 the team was renamed regiostrom-Senges. This was followed by an incredibly successful road-racing season which, by the end of August, confirmed the team, according to the world rankings, to be the third strongest professional German team behind Gerolsteiner and T-Mobile.

But now let's go back to the shop and through to the workshop. This is where we find four mechanics tightening fasteners, optimising and repairing more than 25 bicycles a day with their experience from professional cycling – using STAHLWILLE tools. Następnie odbył się niezwykle udany sezon wyścigów drogowych, który do końca sierpnia potwierdził, że według światowych rankingów zespół jest trzecim najsilniejszym profesjonalnym niemieckim zespołem po teamach Gerolsteiner i T-Mobile.
