Everything ready at NHV. With STAHLWILLE.

Image
In 2020, the Belgian NHV Group commissioned a new hangar of around 3,000 square metres at Ostende Airport. Here, the B2B helicopter operator has a modern service environment and space to service six helicopters at the same time. Anyone entering the hangar has a good chance of encountering the STAHLWILLE brand, because NHV relies on aviation know-how from Cronenberg, Germany.
NHV stands for Noordzee Helikopters Vlaanderen, a company with a fleet of more than 35 helicopters. The Group’s helicopters, for example, supply oil and gas platforms in the North Sea and transport components for wind turbines.

Highest standards of quality, precision and safety

In the hangar in Ostende, NHV’s aviation technicians carry out maintenance, repairs and overhauls on their own helicopters and also offer their services to third parties. Precision, safety and innovation are paramount here. So it's no wonder that NHV relies on our tools and storage solutions.
The company uses our TTS98 Pro tool trolleys, for example, equipped with customised, FOD-optimised tool sets. Electronic torque wrenches also have a place in the hangar. Technicians particularly appreciate the precision and the ease with which the target torque can be set and read "live" during bolt tightening. And so that you are prepared for all eventualities in the air, we deliver individually equipped tool trolleys. This means that the tools for the most important repairs are always at hand.

Battery maintenance with the MANOSKOP® 730R VDE

For the battery workshop, also located in the hangar, the NHV Group also ordered the MANOSKOP® 730R VDE - an insulated torque wrench with protection up to 1,000 volts, in which the insert tool can be replaced without re-checking the integrity of the insulation. Adjustment is also possible if the test on one of the SmartCheck test devices located in hangar shows that the torque wrench is not working within the tolerances.
Our tools, transport and storage solutions make an important contribution to ensuring that NHV helicopters are always optimally maintained and ready for use. All while complying with the particularly stringent safety requirements of the aviation industry.
